The cabin lights are dimmed down, and the slow drone of the jumbo jet’s engines reverberates through the cabin like a drowsy swarm of bees. In seat 42A next to his dozing parents, Sam scrolled through images of his family’s recent holiday. Smiling and laughing faces flit across the screen of his iPad, encouraged by the gentle swipe of his finger.
Even though it was on flight mode, the icon for an incoming email catches his attention. ‘SAM. FOR YOUR EYES ONLY’, appears in the subject bar. His curious and sometimes reckless nature gets the better of him, and he taps on  the message –
‘HI Sam. My name is Alias 3. I live in the 26th century. You need to know that the future of the world hangs in the balance. If something isn’t done soon, we’ll both cease to exist. How I found you doesn’t matter right now. I need you to trust me, and I need you to do something. Something important. Something brave. Something dangerous. Just reply ‘OK’ and I’ll send you the details, but do it quick, I’m being watched – and so are you!’
Sam looked up and warily scanned the cabin. His head buzzed with possibilities. 1) It’s a joke. 2) He’s asleep and dreaming. 3) He has to save the world.

There was a flash. Everything went silent. Sam looked around again. Nothing was moving. He looked out of the window. The clouds were still, the engines had stopped. THE ENGINES HAD STOPPED!
Sam leapt to his feet, jumped into the aisle and turned. In front of him was a tall figure dressed in black body armour. It pushed its visor up revealing…a face. A perfectly normal human face with long brown hair. “I’m Alias 3 – well, that’s my codename, so that’s what you can call me – don’t want to change history, do we? As I said on the email, I’ve come from the future to save this world. If we don’t sort it out, everything will end. All the power my world has has been used to sent me back. Please help me…”
Sam said “OK” without thinking, and there was another flash. Suddenly both of them were…somewhere else. Somewhere Sam didn’t recognise, but Alias 3 – very obviously – did. In front of them was a tall black building with a door straight in front of them. Sam pushed the door, but it didn’t budge. Alias rummaged in her backpack, pulled out a small black box, pointed it at the door, and watched as the door slowly dissolved. Once it had gone, replaced by black dust, she stepped through the hole, followed by Sam. “This is the place,” she whispered, “THIS is where it happens…”

Timidly, Sam said “What happens?” as he cautiously walked into the dark mysterious building. “This is where the soldiers are trained for the Immense War” Alias 3 said powerfully. The room was empty apart from one lonely reception desk, with a man, well dressed in a blue suit. The only sound was his nails tapping against a screen and Sam’s and Alias 3’s footsteps. A medical aroma filled the air, the smell becoming stronger the further they walked into the room. “What’s the Immense War?” Sam whispered as he gazed around the brightly lit room. “I’ll show you” replied Alias 3 as they walked up to the desk, their footsteps echoing around the empty room. “What can I do for you Alias 3?” asked the receptionist in a nasal voice.
“I’d like to go up to level 13 please.”
“I don’t think that’s allowed” whined the receptionist.
“Yes it is” she said as she stepped to the side so that Sam was visible to the small receptionist.
“Oh my- I’m so sorry I- I didn’t know. Anything for the leader of the troops!” mumbled the man.
A door slid open to reveal an elevator to Sam’s left and he jumped in surprise.
“Thank you” said Alias 3 coldly. Sam and Alias walked into the white elevator.
As it closed Sam asked “What did he mean when he said that I was the troop leader?”
“You’re the leader of the Immense War soldiers”

Sam was awestruck. There was no other way to describe it, awestruck. “Yy-you mean I- I’m a leader of a great army.” He stammered. Alias 3 looked at him and spoke in a humble voice, “In about 500 hundred years from the present time, the world will end right at your feet,” The man at the desk called Jim 24 wants the ancient scroll of fatality to change the fate of the nights in the future. “It is your job to find it.” “Why me?” asked Sam. “Because your decedent will destroy the world,” said Alias. “You are the chosen one.” “So, I need to gather an army to defeat my decedent and stop the immense war?” questioned Sam. Within a couple of hours Sam must find the ancient scroll. It will decide fatality.
Sam started his journey into the traumatic mountains climbing with his 88 men up and down although they were weary they had to move. Sam and his crew were half way through their epic journey when they encountered the slayer of the mountains. “To pass me you have to defeat me in battle…

Sam thought, “What could I do?” but the good was shadowed out by his true colours: darkness and selfishness. His evil plan came into action in his messed up mind. He declared inside his head that all of his soldiers had to die. Those unimportant imbeciles would get in the way of his glory. Then without warning his plan came into action, he maliciously destroyed his 88 soldiers with one blast of his gun. The lifeless bodies rolled down the mountain and landed in a helpless heap. Without shedding a tear, he began to powerfully battle the slayer of the mountains. POW, THWAK, BOOM. The mountain slayer dropped dead as though his spine had been removed and joined the helpless heap. Alias 3 heard of the terrible news ….

And laughed. Pacing the room Alias-3 hissed “what was he thinking, how could he ever think that he was destined for anything, that he was worth anything. As if he could be evil- he doesn’t even know the definition. He was like putty in my hand, oblivious, slimy and worthless. Now the end shall begin.” Slowly, his hand crept towards the phone, all he had to do was press 5 buttons, 5 buttons….”But you can’t” A gravelly voice echoed through his twisted mind, a voice he’d heard before but didn’t know where from “You have to get rid of him. Of everyone. They don’t mean anything in this new world. You must change history.” He gripped the edge of the desk, his knuckles fading to a ghostly white. He shook his head, straightened his back and attached a little gold holster to his thick, black belt. He knew exactly where to find Sam. He’d been waiting for this moment for centuries. Each arduous step he took provoked a rush of anger, happiness and glee. Sam wasn’t too far now. One step, a stride, a sprint, a second until he would reach victory. Sam wasn’t there. “Why isn’t he here, he’s meant to be here!” the voice returned, more sinister than ever… “Because I’m behind you!” Alias-3 turned sharply, then out of his holster he withdrew a long blade like Sam had never ever seen before. Inscribed on the side were the words “com essa espada você é meu fantoche.”

As Sam called everyone over they all gazed in awe when seeing the engraved words on the sword. Sam and Alias argued over how to pronounce the engraved text on the sword. Alias won the argument within a couple of minutes and stumbled during a victory dance mistakenly finding the circuit breaker for the lights. Sam proudly said to move out of the way and let him adjust the lights on the breaker. “My dad taught me how to adjust the power in case there was a shortage within the cables. Suddenly, the lights went back out again, there was no sound, movements, not even a breath. They suddenly fell into darkness and there were lights everywhere. They were in a foreign place, maybe where Alias lived in the future. Once again the lights were off, only to leave one on. That light was from a computer on the computer screen, there was a flashing message meant for Sam. The message stated that Sam had two days in order to save the world or cease to exist.

Both Sam and Atlias tries to look around the room, but keeps going to the same area as if it was looped. Yet the only thing that was in the room was the computer. Sam went to look at the computer one last time, there was a new message, it said to meet at the mountains. Then Sam tried running straight, then he sees an open door with light peaking in. Sam yelled at Atlias “Hey! I found something!”
Sam walked through the door, and looked around. The environment is now in the mountains. The place had seem familar to Sam, however he could not wrap his head around it. Atlias had walked through the door and decided to look around. Sam decided that he wanted to save the world, then his train of thought had gotten interupted. Suddenly, they were at Headquarters, Sam told everyone that he will be gone for a few days. Sam left and began his journey to the mountains, the moment he had reached the mountains there was the mountain slayer, back from the dead. They battled again, the sounds of swords hitting each other, the feeling of the sword touching the skin. Before Sam knew it, he had lost the battle, his last moment of seeing the mountain slayer was having a sword pointed to himself. When he woke up, Sam looked around, he’s back on the plane. Then Sam realized, it was just a dream.
